October 18, 2003 - Serafian's Opens it's New Location
After two years of searching for a larger, more suitable home for the store, we have finished our new building at 1421 Wyoming NE, and are now open there for business. We have closed the store on Lomas. Please come in and see our new store, with more than twice the room of the old location.
December 29, 2003 - Some Finer Carpets Becoming Scarce
For years we have been saying that many of our finest carpets will become hard to find in coming years, mainly because the economics of making them doesn't make sense in modern economies. We have heard from two sources that, in the past 12 months, 80% of the weavers in Kurdistan (where Bijar carpets are made) have quit to do other things. We have recently purchased many new Bijar carpets in anticipation of rising prices and dwindling supply.
