Fine hand knotted carpet from Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan using hand spun wool. Kazak designs originated in central Asia and were a strong influence in carpet weaving from Kazakhstan in the east to the Caucasus in the West. This one is unique in that its design originates from Turkmenistan.
